LogoSportswear Gives Back to the Community

When items are purchased but cannot be returned, what do you do? Logo Sportswear's Continuous Improvement Coordinator, Shane Snedeker, was pondering a solution to the problem when he saw a news segment asking for clothing donations for hospital patients. Some patients may have nothing to wear when they are discharged if their clothing was ruined during the accident, illness, or trauma or due to homelessness. According to Kelly Marcroft, Director of Human Centered Care, Emergency Services at Hartford Healthcare, "emergency departments throughout the Hartford Healthcare system are in great need of such donations." Knowing this, Shane reached out and coordinated a program for Logo Sportswear to donate unused items to local hospitals. In 2020, over $10,000 in garments were given to emergency patients in need across ten Connecticut hospitals.
